Steve King is Right on the Money

Steve King has been hit by the far left for saying that if the Dems win in Nov. that terrorists would be dancing in the streets if the dems win. Well geezes of course they would be! The Dems would pull out of Iraq and moveon.org would be sure to put pressure to leave Afghanistan as well. They oppose FISA which is hurting US attempts to listen in on NEW conversations.

It is easy why the left-wing media, and the Dem party does not want this to become an issue. When your wife says this is the 1st time she is proud to be an American??? When Obama says he will talk with Dictators with out setting down any pre-conditions hmm what message does that send the people being oppressed by those tyrants???

Rep. King is right on the money if Obama wins the radicals in the middle east will be happy. Even Clintion understand's that Iran's Revoluntiary Guard Unit is a terrorist sponsor and that we need to ensure stability in Iraq before going off and pulling out!!!

Good for Congressman King to bring this up and having the courage to do so! Keep up the good work Congressman!

Way To Blow The Past 7 Years.....

Well the GOP has blown the past 7 years. Now we get tough on pork okay some of the party does others want the money to keep flowing. The nation building keeps going, we have more debt today, our economy is going into the tank, overall the past 7 years have been liking watching a car wreck over and over again. It is no wonder that the Dem's are running towards Obama as are Independents. To say that McCain would be good for our party is laughable at best. The only thing he stands with the party on is stopping pork and keeping up a strong military which he has helped to weaken by all the fighting in Iraq and else where in the world.

I voted for Bush 2 times. I remember the 1st time I thought we had real change in 2000 coming to DC. By 04 I voted for him just cause well he was the devil I knew and was better then Kerry. But Today and in the after math of 06 it is easy to see that he and his neo-cons have hurt America in the short term and if it keeps compounding then long term as well.

We need to change the pay and get the party back on track. I am not looking to find the next Ronald Reagan but for someone that understands we can not keep going down the path we are today.

Obama and Huckabee Wrong for America

Obama and Huckabee have 1 thing in common for sure and this using emotion to hide their records. Huckabee's record is one of raising taxes, open borders, using government to enact laws they have no business enacting at all. If he is willing to use government to enact healthy living styles what else will he use it for? Plus raising taxes is that the best option at the federal level?

A large chunk of the GOP is sick of the Pat Roberstons and others from dominating the party. Religion is important as is Faith in God but so are other issues such as taxes, and immigration. The GOP needs a strong leader on immigration and Huckabee is far from that.

Obama has several problems to but the swooning crowds do not see it. Though maybe they are starting to as Clinton highlights his record. Such as all of his "present" votes back in the State Legislature. Or how he sided with huge companies against Healthcare reform as well. Now the biggest thing about that is his so called "I don't like lobbyists" really? How about you check your past out before you open your mouth.

His rallies remind of huge rallies back in Germany during the 1930s pure emotion no rational thought at all. And it leads to problems as history has shown us. What does he want us to unit behind? Change....... well what change? What is going to change? With Huckabee is more of the same. When you pander to the mob it becomes very scary are you really doing something for the good of the nation? Or for the mob? And yes I said mob. Their crowds Obama's more then Huckabee's are full of non-rational people just their because it feels good or its the herd mentality.

Huckabee looks beatable. I hope that he is. Obama does not. Yes Clinton will live to fight another day in SC and Nevada but will it do her any good? I don't think so. Obama may be able to come back in both of those states and win. Plus its a rock and a hard place do you really want Hillary to win the Dem nomination?

All we can hope is that someone will break this trance that people seem to be in over these 2 candidates. If not one of them will win and it could be very scary.

Concerned Woman for America Getting Set to Make Endorsement in 08 Race

Concerned Woman For America Set To Make Key Endorsement in 08 Race.

Coming from sources with in the Pro-life movement Concerned Woman of America or CWA are getting set to make a key endorsement in the wide open 08 race. CWA has strong connections with in the conservative movement and its endorsement would be a signal to millions of conservatives right before the election.

This comes after Wendy Wright was critical of the National Right to Life Endorsement of Fred Thompson.  It is safe to assume that if CWA makes an endorsement it will be from one of the following: Mike Huckabee, or Fred Thompson. The real question is why not Ron Paul who is always 100% pro-life 100% pro-constitution and 100% anti-UN?

The sources did not say when CWA would make an announcement . but that it would soon.

All This Talk of Change

Everyone on the campaign trail is talking about changing DC. Hillary wants change Huckabee wants change. The list goes on and on. But is it for real? Who is really going to change DC? Who really can change DC? The answer is probably no one.

Who in the Dem party is going to take the federal government back to the government that our founding fathers wanted?? 0 thats how many. Most them oppose the 2nd amendment, and like government in every single aspect of our lives. So I wont be holding my breath with this group.

The Republicans? Ron Paul would be the best hope. But lets face it will Congress go along with him? Probably not on to much. And his understanding of radical islam is well very lacking. That is to say though I think that Ron Paul would do America allot of good. More so then most of the candidates running in the GOP.

But honestly all this talk of change really means nothing at all. Its just words to get elected and why? Because people get fed up in the election year and then walk away from it when they get hurt or disappointed by their elected officials. And then again we break down as Americans on right v left so that makes change even harder as we can not even agree on change.

So what is the point on running for change? I don't really know unless you can get really and substantial change its worthless. And right now America needs real change.

Gary Aldrich Believes That Hillary Does Not Understand DC Bureaucracy

Gary Aldrich Supports Claim that Hillary Would Be Clueless in DC Bureaucracy

In a private dinner tonight in Arlington VA Gary Aldrich stated that he believe in fact Hillary would not understand the Bureaucracy of Washington DC. This is the same claim that others in the media have been making. Aldrich is the FBI Agent who wrote the NY Times best Seller Unlimited Access. This book broke the lid wide open to the abuses of the Clinton White House in the early 90s.  While Clinton may have been the First Lady and has been a Senator from New York their are many including Aldrich that she would simply not understand the way DC works.

Thompson takes on Romney

And Romney gives a gift to Thompson! Paul Weyrich who gave Romney a massive endorsement recently has now become a libality to the Romney camp. He stated that Thompson had "greased the wheels" of the National Right to Life. (For the full quote go to:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1107/Paul_Weyrich_gives_Team_Fred_a_massive_opening.html)

Now Thompson who has been struggling just a bit can now go after Romney and they have. Who is has spent more money in Iowa then anyother candidate? That would be Romney. Add to this Romney is not really the leader of the pro-life movement now is he? He was pro-choice for a long period of time and then switched when he decided to run. Thompson on the other hand has a history of being pro-life and always will be. Is just part of the message response they are giving to the charges being launched by someone so high in the Romney camp.

Thompson should be able to have field day with this and its a big mistake for Romney that could cost him.

Armageddon Between Demorcats and Republicans

This battle over funding started today with the Bush veto of the Education Bill. The Bill was a grand total of $606 Billion for Education but it had millions of dollars of pork put into the bill. Bush has been attempting to recapture the GOP mantle of fiscal discipline.  It has about $10 Billion in pork in it so much for Mr. Obey's promises to cut back pork......... heck in a quote I found on here from another blog it appears that he urged people to vote for the bill to save their pork lol this guy is a laugh.

Okay here is the link to the exact quote:

http://greeneyeshade.townhall.com/blog/g/63d84556-62eb-4846-8aa7-996a7362809a

Now why does this matter at all? Well the far-left dems that can think of nothing better but to tax and spend are now talking about cutting off funding for the troops. Thats right they are saying that the bill Bush has asked for is to big. Now I will grant that some of that might be true with all the waste that is happening in Iraq. But to say that the Pentagon will need to fund the war out of its own budget?? This hurts the troops. This cuts into other military programs. But I guess the Dems don't care. Anything for a hand out.

Remember this is the party that said they would get us out of Debt okay okay they said allot of things. Like cutting pork spending?? Yea right lol just think if they where really committed to cutting spending how much tax payer money we would save??

So in this fight over spending ask yourself this: is it okay to hold money for the troops hostage if the President does not A) stop vetoing bills that have millions in pork or b) if the President does not set a deadline to end the war and bring the troops home? The answer to both of those questions is No it is not okay and we must support the GOP as they prepare for battle in the coming days.

Pakistan is Musharraf being truthful???

As a follow up to the previous post about Musharraf stepping down we need to be careful here. The problem is 2 fold:

1) Will he really step down?
2) What happens next?

Do we trust him to step down? What if the attacks by the Taliban and Al-Quada do not stop? Will we see the dead line just simply pushed back? Or is this for real and he is bowing from US pressure and pressure in side his country? Hopefully if we are to see Pakistan become stable again he will step down and allow democracy to flourish.

The bigger question is what happens next? Who will replace him? Will it be his primary opponent? Or someone else? And what happens if the violence does not go down despite this latest move???

It is clear that the majority of people working to see Musharraf step down as head of the Army are not radical islamic types. But radical islam is gaining a strong foot hold inside the country. Can a democratic government do better then Musharraf and the army? OR will it become caught up in the popularity drive and trend away from democracy and into radical islam. Pakistan has nukes and this could be a dangerous situation if instead of overthrowing the Pakistani government they simply got themselves elected to power. It would be much harder to stop them given the fact of the nuclear missiles in the equation.

So who ever takes over after Musharraf and the US must hold him accountable to ensure he leaves office the US must watch and support if the new government is infact totally committed to democracy.

What Matters in 08

Can the GOP win or are is the party just going to fall flat in 08? It depends on several factors:

            1) Who wins the nomination for President for both parties
            2) Iraq
            3) Iran
            4) The Economy

Each of these will play its own role in 08.

#1 The nominee

If its Rudy vs. Hillary count on a third party according to everything I have read on politico.com and else where the anti-war crowd is not happy with Hillary but the conservatives are not happy with Rudy I don't care what Pat Roberston says. Romney can be seen as a flip flopper to bad he knows how to use a veto pen....... Now Ron Paul say what you will some anti-war folks will vote for him just to end the war. And traditional conservatives like him allot! It would be interesting to see him debate a big government dem and talk about the constitution and not half to worry if he means it!   Huckabee and Thompson hard to say how they would fare in a general election as they both have good and bad qualities. Obama and Edwards? Obama would probably win hands down but Edwards is damaged goods and is really just a better looking Kucinich.

#2 Iraq

If Iraq keeps on improving the Dems will be seen as wanting America to lose and this could back fire on them but if the war in Iraq does not improve Dems will move on to the attack. But even if the war does improve the hard left hates the war so much they are running against Pelosi and others for not doing enough to end the war. All the GOP can do is hope things keep on improving and that the voters like a winner.

#3 Iran

This is the wild. Hillary voted in the Senate to label Iranian Guard units as terrorist groups and embargo them. The whole group of Dems running for President hounded her. She seems more like a hawk but its hard to say if she is just playing to security moms or really means it. We know where the whole GOP field other then Ron Paul stands. The trick is will Israel wait for the world or the US to do something or will they handle it themselves? Iran announced some 3,000 centrifuges this past week. Its stepping closer to the brink.

#4 The Economy

Oil is up, house crisis, weak dollar but still Wal-Mart posted solid information the stock market is still high and unemployment is low. So which party can claim to do a better job on the economy? Thanks to Amanda Carpenter and Freedom works for providing the following stats on the new tax hike the dems are proposing:

"according to the Joint Committee on Taxation which forecasts tax revenues for the government, 94 million families earning between $20,000 and $200,000 will pay more taxes if Rangle's bill is passed and the Bush tax cuts expire as scheduled. "

Hmmmm 94 million new tax payers? If the GOP can frame this right well it could hurt the Dems. But with a host of other problems soaring energy prices this winter and a bad housing market will it be enough for the GOP? And are independents going to trust that the GOP has infact gone back to smaller government?? Its hard to say at the moment. Also the engergy situation is out of the US's hands and Chavez is working hard to ensure the price goes up why? So he can make tons of money but if it goes to far up their goes the world economy and it hurts him in the long run. Sorry I digress their....... The GOP must listen to those members that call for more transparency on Pork, and work to reduce spending. Their is right now an attempt to get a discharge in House to force a vote on each pork barrel project. If the Republican Steering Committee gets the votes it needs the Dems are in a pretty pickle.

Dave Obey (D) WI who is the Representative for the District where I went to college used to come on campus and rant against pork spending well now as head of the Apparitions Committee he calls it "equity" hmmmm yea not much change their at all.

Also their is one last huge issue and that is immigration. We saw this past summer what can happen when the politicians think about voting for amnesty and forget about securing the Borders. This will be the wedge issue of 08 I think maybe not in every race but in allot of races. And the GOP IF it can play its cards right can win here.

So is 08 all doom in gloom? Not as much as people think. Each week in politics is a life time. But time will tell. The Dems are out fundraising the Dems right now. According to Congresswoman Musgrave who I was able to meet with as part of my internship they are making Tom Delay look like saint. But if the GOP can get the right candidate which I think is Fred Thompson though I have noted he needs to get in gear or even a Ron Paul which would be might interesting I feel the GOP can rally can pull itself together.

Fred Closing the Gap?

Today Fred Thompson received a huge endorsement from the National Right to Life Committee the larger question is though can this help to push his campaign over the edge? He has not raise as much money as many of the front runners, and he has stumbled in many of his speeches. I saw him at the Americans for Prosperity Conference last month and he seemed to be flat. How can you win when your speech is flat? What is going to get the troops to rise up and go sign wave, make phone calls, show up to vote? Why should they? They need something to rally around! What is that going to be? He has not committed to no new taxes, as Grover Norquist has pointed out. He has a chance though to move to the right of Huckabee and the other front runners. Yes I know Huckabee does not have a huge amount of money but he is starting to make this race interesting and most of that is Fred's fault.   He is conservative but he needs to step it up not only in his speeches but how many stops he makes each day as well. He is behind in building his support and must catch up. Your not going to do that by simply doing 2 stops a day and giving weak speeches. He can give great speeches listen to any of ipod talks they are strong and powerful!!!

I received a facebook message about a day of giving next Wen. Right before Thanksgiving it will be interesting to see if he can raise a large sum of money from this event. If he does not do well it will again raise questions about the strength of his campaign. And for all those that say their is still time I remind you that Iowa is right around the corner.
